Primordial Writings
WITH Rafael Ventuna (coordination), Sayonara Pereira (supervision), Alice Mogadouro (production), Angie Rodrigues, Brenda Nadler, Cynthia Azevedo, Davi de Lacerda, Eduardo Godoy, Gui De Rose, Jullia Leite Alves Pereira, Marcio Tito, Mariah Viamonte, Mariana Barioni, Nailanita Prette, Renato Izepp, Renato Mascarenhas, Silvano Tolentino, Simone Waissman, Thamires Araújo, Thiene Okumura, Vinícius Araguaya and Willians Muciati.
Coordinated by cultural journalist and art critic Rafael Ventuna, and supervised by Professor Dr Sayonara Pereira, the group of researchers will produce reflective texts on shows from the 10th MITsp programme, observing the principles of Primordial Writing. Created by Ventuna, the methodology is incorporated into the research on writing processes entitled Dramaturg’IAs Cotidianas, from the Master’s Degree in Performing Arts at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP).

ABOUT
Rafael Ventuna is a cultural journalist, art critic, MBA in Cultural Assets (FGV), Master’s student in Performing Arts (USP), researcher at LAPETT-ECA-USP-CNPq, executive director of Ventuna Digital, contributor to Bravo! magazine and surfer at magic hours.
Sayonara Pereira is an Associate Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo. She is director of the Laboratory for Research and Studies in Tanz Theatralidades (LAPETT-ECA-USP-CNPq). She is also a dancer and choreographer.
Alice Mogadouro is a cultural producer and executive producer of music and theatre shows and festivals. She has a degree in Cultural Production (IFG), Social Media Manager (EBAC) and has always been immersed in the world of arts, technology and communication.
Angie Rodrigues is an actress, visual artist and cultural producer with a degree in Theatre (FURB). She is part of the artistic cast and current management of the NGO Canto Cidadão, and is part of the cast of the play O que meu corpo nu te conta? by Coletivo Impermanente and directed by Marcelo Varzea.
Brenda Nadler is a dancer, choreographer, actress and casting coach. In 2021, she was co-director and movement director in (In) Confessáveis , directed by Marcelo Varzea. In 2023, she was the choreographer and casting coach for the SBT soap operas Poliana Moça and Romeu e Julieta.
Cinthia Azevedo is an actress and singer with a degree in Psychology. She has acted in several theatre plays, musical theatre and has participated in short and medium-length films. She is currently taking part in a group of experiments in autofiction with director Marcelo Varzea.
Davi de Lacerda is a visual artist and dermatologist. He graduated in Medicine and Social Sciences from USP. His work symbolically displaces objects, transforming them into narratives and literary texts. In 2025, he published his first book, Jessica Redes – A Boneca Explosiva.
Eduardo Godoy was born in Recife. He graduated in Theatre from the Fiandeiros School, has performed in more than ten shows and is currently a member of the Impermanente Collective. He currently lives in São Paulo.
Gui De Rose is an actor with a degree in Portuguese Literature from the University of Brasília (UnB), a technologist in Foreign Trade from Unisul, a specialist in International Relations from UnB, a federal civil servant and a foreign trade analyst.
Jullia Leite studied at Globe, Oficina dos Menestréis, Escola de Atores Wolf Maya, Academia Internacional de Cinema, Be True, Estúdio Estrela Strauss. She has acted in the series Desejos and in the plays (In)Confessáveis and Álbum de Família.
Marcio Tito is a playwright and theatre director. He is the creator, editor and interviewer of the Deus Ateu website.
Mariah Viamonte is an actress who graduated from UniverCidade. She acted in the soap opera Elas Por Elas (Globo). She was part of the research and creation studio for the actor O Canto do Bode (Portugal). She was nominated for Best Actress at the Boston International Film Festival and won the Rio Highlights 2022 Musical Award.
Mariana Barioni is an actress, producer, art director and mother of two. She has been studying theatre since the age of eight, graduated from the technical course in Performing Arts in 1996 and has a degree in Cinema from the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de Los Baños (Cuba).
Nailanita Prette is a researcher, dance critic and Capricorn. She is a PhD student in Performing Arts at USP/FAPESP and has a degree in Dance from UFV. She works with people deprived of their liberty and is interested in the ways of dancing and their political and aesthetic reverberations.
Renato Izepp is an actor who graduated from the Célia Helena School of the Arts and studied at the School of Dramatic Art (USP). He is a member of the group Núcleo Teatro do Indivíduo. He is the creator and actor in the play ‘Pai-Brasil’, which deals with military, masculine and paternal relationships.
Renato Mascarenhas is an actor who graduated from the Wolf Maya School of Acting. He started in the theatre in 2006 in his hometown of Goiânia. He took part in a study group at Grupo Tapa. In Marcelo Varzea’s autofiction workshop, he rediscovered writing, to which he is currently dedicated.
Silvano Tolentino has a degree in Literature/FESB. He has a postgraduate qualification in Inclusive Environments/UNICID and LP Teaching for EM/Unicamp/REDEFOR. Technician in Acting and Master in Performing Arts/ESACH. PEB II in the Reading Room at SE/SP. He has published Ascensão and A vida é mar e eu não sei nadar.
Simone Waissman is a data scientist and actress with a postgraduate qualification in Data Mining. She has been integrating art and data in the corporate market for over five years and is now exploring this fusion in the theatre. As an actress, she dedicates herself to autofiction, investigating narratives and patterns.
Thamires Araujo is a playwright, actress and translator. She has a BA in Literature (USP), a postgraduate degree in Dramaturgy: Film, Theatre and Television (Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena), and a technical degree in Dramaturgy (SP Escola de Teatro). She is a playwright and dramaturg for Coletivo Nascente.
Thiene Okumura is an actress, movement director and mother. She has a degree in Theatre (UFPEL). She is a founding partner of Doma Dança, a member of the Impermanente Theatre Collective and a researcher of butô theatre and its resonances.
Vinícius Araguaya is a playwright and filmmaker with a degree in Audiovisual from ECA/USP and Dramaturgy from SP Escola de Teatro. He was an executive producer at EBC/TV Brasil and is the director of Transficção Filmes. He publishes his chronicles and other writings on vinidrama.substack.com
Willians Muciati has a degree in Physical Education and Theatre and a postgraduate degree in BODY: Dance, Theatre and Performance. He works as a physical educator at Sesc SP and participates as a researcher at LAPETT-ECA-USP. He researches scenic language, theatricality and corporeality.
