SYNOPSIS

In this meeting, members of Critical Practice discuss aspects related to the performances presented at MITsp and, based on them, broader aesthetic-political questions concerning the contemporary theatrical scene.

ABOUT

Amilton de Azevedo is a researcher and critic of the live arts. Creator of the platform ruína acesa, he is a PhD candidate in Performing Arts at ECA/USP and a member of AICT Brasil.

Artur Kon is an actor and playwright with Cia de Teatro Acidental. He holds an MA and PhD in Philosophy from USP. He is the author of Da teatrocracia: estética e política do teatro paulistano contemporâneo, among other works.

Daniel Guerra is an art critic, editor of Revista Barril, writer, and director.

Ferdinando Martins is a professor and researcher at USP, a juror of the Shell Theatre Prize, and a theatre and dance critic for the website Deus Ateu.

Malu Barsanelli is a journalist specializing in the performing arts. She has served on the jury of the Shell Prize and was part of the curatorial team of the Miacena Festival. She coordinates communications for the South American office of Pro Helvetia.
