Synopsis:
“We are like these toads…”: A woman and two men evoke the symbolism of marriage as if they were trying different clothes. The performers build on stage a repertoire of amazing movement, especially by the performer Hedi Thabet, who has lost a leg to a bone cancer. An orchestra sits before them: two Greek and Tunisians singers come and go between Greek classical Rembetiko music and popular Tunisian music from Cheik and Afrit.
Ali: “Ali”, a long act or a short piece, means to say things without words about our encounters, in which one becomes two, two become one and they part, doubles of one another, one’s projection on the other, a third kind of encounter.
